What are the requirements to be a CE Monitor?

Open to current optometry students or residents (recent graduates are ok, too), CE Monitors at Optometry's Meeting, June 17-20, in Phoenix, will receive $20 per hour served. Expectations are as follows:

  • Must work a minimum of one half-day shift (AM or PM) while attending Optometry's Meeting.
  • Must be able to attend one training session prior to your first shift (virtual options prior to the meeting are available)
  • Must help attendees get scanned into CE courses, help attendees find where they are going, help the education committee answer attendees questions and more.

Only applicants who meet all of the requirements will be selected.

Note: Some schools require a minimum CE hours requirement. CE Monitors have the opportunity to attend lectures and get paid at the same time. CE Monitors will be able to attend all student events, such as AOA+ required events and the EyeQ Championship.

Important dates to keep in mind

  • Application deadline: Monday, April 27
  • Notification of selection: Friday, May 1
  • Tentative work schedule release: Friday, May 22
