Paraoptometric Conference Highlights

ASSISTANT/TECHS - CHECK OUT THE CE GRID! Assistant/Tech course information is indicated by the symbol for your convenience!

Education:

The Paraoptometric Section is pleased to provide another spectacular array of courses for assistants/technicians, opticians, and office personnel. Specific courses have been submitted to the Commission on Paraoptometric Certification (CPC), the American Board of Opticianry (ABO), and the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) for consideration of approved continuing education credit. All courses are approved by the AOA CPC for continuing education credit and are acceptable for certification renewal requirements. "ABO/ NCLE pending" means the course is still in the review process. It must state "ABO/ NCLE approved" for confirmed CE credits. Please refer to the on-site directory to verify actual credit approved for each course.

New to the Paraoptometric Program This Year:

  • Crafting Eyewear Solutions: Essential Refractive Dilemmas sponsored by Essilor on Wednesday, course P001.

  • Patient Compliance: A Team Approach sponsored by Alcon on Thursday, course P111.

A course ticket is required for admittance to each course, including free lectures. An official AOA name badge must be worn and attendance will be monitored. Course evaluations for all courses will be distributed prior to the class; you are encouraged to complete and turn in at the end of the course. The Paraoptometric Education Program is sponsored by grants from:
