Education for the Student of Optometry — Optometric Student Education Category: AOSA

The purpose of this lecture is to overview the main topics that are covered on the National Boards. The attendees will be given the opportunity to answer questions, give input, and ask questions. A board review of systemic and ocular pharmacology and medical treatment with emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of ocular conditions, disease, and trauma will be included. The course provides a review of the characteristics of both groups and individual medications; indications/side effects/ contraindications as well as the mechanism of action and unique properties of the drugs. The condition or disease for which it is best suited is discussed. There is a $10 fee for optometry students and optometrists to enroll in this session.
