Optometry’s own Jeopardy-style quiz show is back! Contestants, students from all the schools and colleges of optometry, answer optometry-related questions while their fellow classmates energetically cheer them on. You won’t want to miss this fierce optometric competition, generously sponsored by Essilor. The stakes are high — in addition to bragging rights, the winner will take home $1,000 and a crystal trophy; second- and third-place winners receive $750 and $500, respectively.
Everyone is invited — students, ODs, guests, and paraoptometrics. Attend the reception that immediately follows with great food, drinks, and warm camaraderie.

Get your game on! Are you ready for a fun, interactive, and different course? Here it is! You will be given a game card with instructions; your challenge is to collect answers to help you in your career. Discover the possibilities in the Exhibit Hall and make connections for your future, while getting top questions answered. There are at least 250 reasons why you should register. Completed game cards along with evaluations turned in will have a chance to win one of multiple AMEX gift cards valued at $250 or more. Winners will be announced Saturday, June 19, at 1:30pm. TLC invites students to dance the night away at The Groove, a trendy nightclub at Universal CityWalk®. The Groove is a multi-level club with unique rooms to fit every mood and a large dance floor. Great food, fun, and friends — an unforgettable evening with TLC! Must be 21 to attend.
Students must register and attend the TLC lecture “Practice Passport – Taking the Leap, Part 2” (S242), to gain admittance to the student event. Student guests must be 21 and register under function 0265 to receive a ticket to attend.

First-year through fourth-year students are encouraged to stroll through the Exhibit Hall during these dedicated student focus hours. Learn about the latest in optometric technology, products, and services and meet exhibitors who will be future business contacts. They will be looking for you and will have special giveaways and drawings just for students! Prize drawings, sponsored by the AOA and the New Graduate Committee, will be awarded. You must be present to win.

Students are invited to the Presidential Celebration honoring the new AOA President and Board of Trustees generously sponsored by HOYA. The AOSA Executive Council will be introduced followed by the comedic performances of Frank Caliendo and John Pinette. Afterward, enjoy a dessert reception and a laser show in the atrium of the Gaylord Palms® Resort & Convention Center, say final farewells, and make plans to meet next year in Salt Lake City, Utah.
