optometry's Meeting™ Registration

Students canregister in advance online for Optometry's Meeting™, or via the paper registration form.

Tips for Registering Online

To create a new registration

  • Click “Register Now”.
  • Select “New Registration”
  • Enter AOA membership ID number – if unknown, call (800) 365-2219 and ask the AOA operator
  • Enter Date of Birth
  • Important: Select “Extract AOA Membership Information” to maximize your meeting-related benefits. Make sure to update your address with the address that will be in effect during Optometry's Meeting™. All post-Meeting communications and/or refunds will be mailed to this address.
  • Name and address will pop up
  • Select “Continue Registration
  • Select “Functions
  • Write down your Form (F) and Control (C) numbers – allows you to update your registration in the future
  • Submit payment
  • You will receive an e-mail confirmation if registration is successful

To update an existing registration

  • Click to “Edit Registration
  • Refer to your original registration confirmation letter
  • Enter your Form (F ) and Control (C) numbers
  • Update your registration
  • Submit payment if necessary
  • You will receive an e-mail confirmation if registration update is successful

Student registration packets will not be mailed in advance. When you arrive in Seattle, you may pick up your registration packet, tickets, and name badge at the Optometry’s Meeting™ Registration Desk, located on the fourth floor of the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

AOSA student registration includes AOSA education; Optometry’s Meeting™ General Session with Chris Gardner; AOSA General Session with mindreader Robert Channing; NBEO Reviews ($10 per course); the Varilux Optometry Super Bowl XVII and Reception; iConnect with TLC Event at Trinity Nightclub; and the Presidential Celebration featuring comedian Jay Leno.

Note: 2008 AOSA/AOA New Graduate Members are eligible to register as students and participate in all student events.

AOSA On-Site Registration Desk
The AOSA registration desk will be located on the fourth floor of the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. Dates and hours of the on-site desk are as follows:

Badge Admission
An official name badge is required at all educational and social events for admission. No exceptions.

Dress Code
The official dress for Optometry’s Meeting™ is business casual, unless otherwise noted. Optometry’s Meeting™ defines business casual dress as follows: Women - dresses, slacks, and/or skirts (jacket optional). Men - sport coat and slacks, casual shirt (golf shirt acceptable), and no tie. Although the weather may be quite warm, remember that the hotels and Convention Center will be well air-conditioned and might be chilly. You can expect to do a lot of walking during Optometry’s Meeting™, so comfortable shoes are highly recommended.
