We invite you to explore the frontiers of optometry at the 118th Annual AOA Congress & 45th Annual AOSA Conference: Optometry’s Meeting®. THE premier event for ODs, optometry students, and optometric staff will be held in scenic Seattle at the Washington State Convention Center June 24-28. Optometry’s Meeting® is an exceptional member benefit, so make plans now to attend YOUR meeting.
We have mapped out an exciting format that will challenge and inspire you. Continuing education will start on Wednesday afternoon with two cutting-edge presentations by Jimmy Bartlett, OD, followed by our innovative OD Talks based on the popular TEDx Talks. Join us as three outstanding speakers take us on a journey into the future of optometry. Continuing education continues through Sunday morning, adding a half-day of CE for attendees.
As always, Optometry’s Meeting® allows every attendee to make the AOA, our association, an even stronger and more effective advocate for our profession and our practices. The House of Delegates, optometry’s main governing body that has helped lead the advancement of our profession for over a century, is open to you during the public sessions on Thursday and Saturday. On Friday, the AOA Board of Trustees will again host an open “Colleague to Colleague” gathering focused on immediate day-to day concerns of our member doctors as well as the prosperous future we need to work together to create.
In addition to the industry-leading companies exhibiting the latest in eye and vision care, the Exhibit Hall will transport you to the future with our ”Appy Hour” and to some of the iconic tastes of the Pacific Northwest with our Taste of Seattle Experience. You won’t want to miss the Opening General Session on Wednesday evening with former Navy SEAL Team Leader Rob O'Neill as the keynote speaker or the Celebration of Optometry on Saturday night featuring comedian and actor Sinbad.
Join us in Seattle to help chart your future and the future of optometry!
